FAQ: Where is technical assistance (TA) or consulting support available to help us design our program?

Where is technical assistance (TA) or consulting support available to help us design our program? [FAQ Date: April 1, 2013]
As noted on the campaign website at http://pahcwfluvax.org/consultative-support/, there are two important source for technical assistance and consultative support for hospitals, health systems and other patient care organizations regarding HCP flu vaccination initiatives.

1) The Pa. Department of Health (PADOH) is working with healthcare institutions that are considering or contemplating implementation of a mandatory program to help them strengthen  their policy or develop program strategies. Contact the Influenza Program at PADOH at 717.787.3350.

2) The Center for Vaccine Ethics and Policy offers consultative support to institutions considering their options and provides direction regarding HCP flu vaccination. As CVEP developed the training materials and content for this site, the PADOH recognized that some institutions might benefit from an outside presenter/facilitator working with their staff, administration and board to clarify options and accelerate decision-making. This support might take a range of forms:  an all-hands overview presentation, facilitating a patient safety committee half-day retreat, a board presentation, designing an implementation plan or facilitation of peer-to-peer exchange between hospitals.  In support of this overall campaign, CVEP is offering consultative services on a negotiated fee basis.
